Police has traced the ownership trail of the Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle used by the shooters.

Rajjab Ali Shaikh, the third owner of the bike, says, “The bike was kept outside, intended for sale. My nephew decided to sell it… Through a chain of acquaintances, someone reached out, expressing interest in buying the bike. The buyer arrived, and since everyone was connected through mutual friends, the deal went through, and we sold it for Rs 25,000-26,000… When the incident came out in the media, the police arrived at our home. That’s when we realized that the person we sold it to, or perhaps someone else, might have used it; we didn’t even know who had used it. It’s only now becoming clear that it was indeed our bike.”

He adds, “The Mumbai Police came and questioned us. We told them everything; we shared the complete truth as it happened. We assured them that if any further action is required, we are fully prepared to cooperate whenever they need us… It was a Pulsar… I request people to ensure all the paperwork is completed thoroughly whenever selling their bike… It is a source of great distress; we are very worried… We sold the vehicle, and it ended up being used for the wrong purposes… The police have been very supportive, and we intend to cooperate with the Mumbai Police… If they ask us to act as witnesses, we will certainly do so… We are the third owners, and we sold it for the fourth time…”

— ANI (@ANI) October 20, 2026

<script async
